Call for research projects. AI and Human and Social Sciences - 2022

La communauté PRAIRIE souhaite développer les aspects interdisciplinaires IA/SHS dans le périmètre de PRAIRIE et, en particulier, les projets originaux mettant en avant les apports des SHS à la réflexion sur les usages de l’IA. L’appel est donc ouvert aux chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs employés par l’un des établissements partenaires de PRAIRIE et rattachés à une unité de recherche du périmètre. Les projets proposés doivent présenter un aspect interdisciplinaire fort. Ils pourront recevoir jusqu’à 100 000€ de financement.

The Principles of the Washington Conference in 1998, the discovery of the "Gurlitt treasure" and Emmanuel Macron's speech at the University of Ouagadougou in 2017 have rekindled debates on the restitution of cultural property and brought to light complex histories of heritage (de)possession. In these different forms of translocations of cultural property, one notion remains in the shadows: that of sequestration.

    This ABEONA-ENS-OBVIA Chair allows a visiting professor to develop, for one year, work on artificial intelligence (AI) and social justice and to interact with researchers from the Paris and Quebec ecosystems in the fields of AI, humanities and social sciences, and health, which will lead to a series of seminars and public events.
