2020-2021 holder of the "AI and Social Justice" chair, professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), I am a social scientist and my work focuses on how technology (digital and AI) can be used for social justice.

Field of research

In my research, I study the uses, strategies and solutions put forward by groups or communities that are affected by digital and AI technologies. These users have their own rationalities and modes of interaction with AI and digital technologies. From a bottom-up approach and the concept of agentivity, I seek to see under what conditions these groups constitute agents of social, political and legal change.
