As a cultural historian, I practice digital humanities in the framework of personal or collective projects.
Field of research
Between 2018 and 2020, I collaborated in the development of the chrono-cartographic tool of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) for the history of its affiliates. Since 2019, I am involved in projects of digital valorisation of archival corpus, whether for the seminar of cultural history of cinema (creation, structuring and archiving of oral archives and texts corpus) or the Guide des sources pour l’histoire de la pédagogie artistique.
Cinema exhibitions and film museums are my favourite subject. Digital devices help me to visualise my data with graphs and maps. I also base my analyses on series of photographs or photograms. Blogging is then an essential vector for my case studies. I use the APPIA-Atelier de prospection sur le patrimoine et les images animées’s blog, (https://appia.hypotheses.org/).
In 2021, I launched the collaborative project Cinex to implement an international database of cinema exhibitions to share data, facilitate cross-analysis and visualise heritage circulations, while encouraging cooperation between researchers.
