Théorie et histoire des arts et des littératures de la modernité (Thalim)

As a doctor of French and comparative literature, I am a specialist in 19th century poetry and I am particularly interested in the sensoriality of poetic writing and in the analysis of the relations between the arts within literary texts.

Field of research

After a doctorate devoted to the analysis of synesthesia and the relations between science and sensitive imagination in Baudelaire, I now open my corpus to contemporary authors whose sensitive writing is perceptible, such as Michel Butor.

As a school teacher, I practice a "Montessori" inspired pedagogy based on learning through the senses.

Eager to find digital tools capable of translating the sensoriality of writing, I am involved in several projects. As a member of the Baudelaire Group at the Institut des textes et manuscrits modernes de Paris (CNRS-ENS), I contribute to the electronic edition of Baudelaire's general correspondence on the eMan platform. In the framework of my research on correspondences between the arts, digital tools are also a precious help for the analysis of pictorial or sound supports that can be put in relation with literary works.

As an author and didactic expert for Lalilo, an online software editor for learning to read, I build vocabulary exercises for students.
