PSL Intensive Week in DH and AI

An intensive week of courses in digital humanities and AI is organized from November 21 to 25, 2022, entitled "Digital Humanities Meet Artificial Intelligence” course of the PSL Intensive Week". Pre-registration is now open!

Registration is open for the November 2022 “Digital Humanities Meet Artificial Intelligence” course of the PSL Intensive Week (part of the Transverse Program DATA of PSL). This intensive training will cover theoretical and numerical topics, and applications at the intersection between these two fields. It is intended for students from a wide range of disciplines from AI/computer sciences to the humanities and social sciences. The structure of the course will be quite innovative, since it will interplay theoretical topics and practical sessions with computer labs and group projects.

Topics and projects will include:

  • Computer Vision for the Humanities
  • Introduction to Natural Language Processing
  • Quantitative Data Analysis and Cartography
  • Recognition and Clustering of Manuscript Diagrams
  • Computational analysis of the George Viau collection
  • Overviews of various Digital Humanities tools
  • and more…!

Eligibility: Master 2 students of PSL have priority; open to other Master/PhD students and researchers, subject to availability.

Dates: 21-25 November 2022 (i.e., the November 2022 PSL Week)
