In addition to the study day on March 30, 2023, the Observatoire des humanités numériques de l'ENS-PSL proposes a training workshop on the modeling and exploitation of textual corpora, given by Paul Kervegan and Léa Saint-Raymond.

This workshop, open to all, aims to introduce students to the analysis of texts in digital humanities. It provides the basics of text analysis using digital tools. The following topics will be covered

  • TEI principles for modeling texts
  • from paper to structured data: modeling a corpus of letters from former students in XML-TEI
  • computational data analysis: corpus exploitation, network visualization and digital mapping

Practical information 

The workshop will take place in the Dussane room, from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm. 

No technical prerequisites are required to participate in the workshop.
