I use digital humanities for my research in political history. The tools I have developed allow me to bring a complementary element of proof to the traditional exploitation of archives and to support my historical work on a robust quantification.
Evaluating the evolution of a character's notoriety, measuring the influence of an author on posterity, mapping the social networks of an era and a milieu from a huge corpus of digitized newspapers, are all new techniques that refine our knowledge of the past.
