As a student in the History department, I am mainly interested in the history of sexualities in Europe and Asia in the modern and contemporary periods, in relation to the notions of modernity and deviance.

Field of research

I am currently doing a Master's degree at Paris IV - Sorbonne University. I am studying the processes of sexualisation of deviant social behaviours at the beginning of the twentieth century, in relation to the theme of social and legal control of sexualities. I analyse various media and medical corpora, using lexicographic methods to study the processes of stigmatisation and regulation of deviant sexualities at the beginning of the century.

In this context, digital humanities’ tools allow me, with the help of lexicographic studies and reticular representations, to give more graphic and meaningful representations in a field of research that is mainly based on pretty austere studies of archives that are not very quantifiable.
